The D.T.A is a non profit association geared to help people pass through competitive employment screening practices. D.T.A works directly on building wide issues, however we are happy to provide recommendations to tenants for their particular circumstances, as well form alliances with other tenant's associations to exchange experiences and information.

If you are looking into living in San Francisco you will be pleased to know there are no shortages of things to do and see. San Francisco is full of historic locations and without a doubt has no shortage of things to do. If you are looking for a location rich in history look no further than San Francisco. Some of the sites to see include the following. Alcatraz prison, Angel island, Crissy field, and the Cole valley. So lets break it down and give you some details on each of these great historic sites.

Alcatraz was a ideal location for a maximum security prison, to no ones surprise, with the exception of two men all of those who tried to escape were caught, drowned, or shot. Alcatrz closed in 1963, this was due to the high operating expense. Angel island is the largest of all the island in the San Francisco Bay, Angel Island at one time was home to the Miwok Indians before being invaded and taken by the Spanish, it was used as an immigration and quarantine station up until the mid part of twentieth century. If you take a hike across the island, you may come across some ruins among the sagebrush and eucalyptus. You would also enjoy a limb to the peak of Mount Livermore for a picnic while taking in the awesome views of the San Francisco bay and the city itself.

The next notable historic area you may want to check out is the Cole Valley, a stroll in Cole Valley, to the south of the Upper Haight, is a pleasing option to escape that area's crowds. You will undoubtedly be in awe of the Victorians homes on Ashbury Street, or go up Shrader Street yet another place to view beautiful and majestic Victorian homes. Finally the last site to see in San Francisco is Crissy field its sprawling, grassy field between the Fort Point and palace of fine arts was at one point in the past a site for a U.S. Army post however it is now a public park with a awe inspiring view of the Golden Gate Bridge you can also see Alcatraz island from the park. You will see many different devout people of the cult of fitness of San Francisco, from kite-surfers and bikers to joggers and Rollerbladers. You may want to pack a picnic basket so that you can soak in the vista, people watch, and stroll, or buy a Chinese kite in Chinatown and relax as it flies on the brisk breeze.

One of the most popular places to go for a get away from our native culture is to take a trip into Chinatown. Chinatown is a major tourist destination, however it is also a robust busy residential neighborhood, where dim sum can be smelled in the air and grocery stores sell Chinese greens and chicken feet. You will find stores that seem to sell everything of the Chinisse culture, from cheongsams and slippers to beautiful fish-shaped kites. You will also find yourself admiring the ornate balconies of Waverly place.

The new ownership of the building, is disrupting the lives of the Deerfield tenants with the hope to driving them out. Read below about one of NYC's 10 Worst Landlords, Margaret Streicker Porres of Newcastle Realty Services.
The building was without gas from August 23rd 2006 until March 2007, there were holes in our apartments , dust, asbestos, lead paint, intermittent hot water, broken elevators, broken doors, the repairs have been slow and inconsistent.
